Marquila Turner is the founder of Quila’s Angels, Inc, a mother, author, and advocate for families navigating the loss of a child. She is the author of Healing Starts With Me (Journal), creator of the Sisterhood of Angel Mama’s Magazine, and founder of the PAIL Awards.
Marquila is a proud mother of three children. Two of her children, Eric Jr. and Cameron, are angels in Heaven, lost at birth to Autosomal Recessive Polycystic Kidney Disease (ARPKD). Her beautiful daughter, Aaliyah, brings joy and light to her life.
Through her personal journey of grief, Marquila understands the profound loneliness and isolation that can come after loss of a child. She created Quila’s Angels, Inc, to provide a safe, compassionate space for women and families to receive support, understanding, and healing.
Marquila believes deeply in the power of connection: talking with others who have experienced loss can be comforting, validating, and restorative. She wants every mother and family to know that they are not alone. With support, understanding, and community, we can and will get through this together.
